I’m sure you have heard the saying “theres no such thing as a free lunch.”
Well this is pretty much the same for software too.
If you absolutely have to have a free spyware remover, I would recommend AVG’s spyware remover.
However, as a person who suffered a major spyware infection, and almost had to get a new computer. I know that free spyware removers don’t always work as they should.
It wasn’t until I came across a website in google, and got AdwareAlert, that my spyware problems finally ended. The website I found can be found below.

They are both free (they don’t come with all the same features as when you buy the full version but are still very good) They are not trials.

Adaware by lavasoft works well and they have the free version for home users.

Ad-Aware SE personal is a really good free product

Try SpywareTerminator and Spybot, both are free
