I would recomment Spybot Search & Destroy. I go to college at Indiana State University and if you go to download.indstate.edu then you can download it for free (ISU bought the license to it I guess). I use it and haven’t had any problems with it

Go to google and look up “AVG Free Edition” and “Spybot Search & Destroy”. AVG is a free anti-virus program, and Spybot is a free anti-spyware program. You should use both to keep your system secure.
