I Had Malware Alarm And Thought I Got Rid Of It Until I Still Can’t Open Any Web Site That Removes Virus’ Help
I used smitfraud (the only program that allowed me to download without closing the webpage on me) to delete the program and think I successfully removed it. At first i thought it was the malware alarm preventing me from downloading or opening any website that has virus removal or spyware removal. Now after completing the removal or malware alam I still can’t download avg free (which is what I normally use) or anyother program that has been recommended (superantispy, spybot, etc…) Can enyone help me be able to get a virus removal (free) on my system somehow without being closed out of the website and why is this “your computer is infected!” thing still in the corner of my screeen>?

SO about a month ago i was trying to fix a file in a game and accidentally downloaded something that changed my background. Then it froze my computer. So i unplugged it . I tried to run windows in safe mode but now it just restarts after loading. I have called around town and gotten estimates on virus removal. Does anyone know any way other than reformatting my hard drive to fix my computer?

Why Does My Computer Shut Down Every Time I Do A Virus Scan?
I am currently using AVG 8.0 Free. The scanner goes through about half the files then everything just shuts off (this happens every day). I don’t think I have a virus because not too long ago, on a fluke, the scan went through everything and came up clean. Also, the Microsoft Virus Removal program I ran couldn’t detect anything. I’ve tried changing the settings, running the Anti-virus is Safe Mode and even using Avast! (another Anti-Virus software), but the problem persists. What am I doing wrong? Could it be a RAM capacity issue?

Ok, my dad fell for one of those pop ups that tell you that you’re computer is flodded with viruses, and he clicked it, and of course, the pop-up was a trap for ‘geniuses’ like him. Now my computer is completely flodded with viruses. I don’t know what to do! We don’t have a credit card and my computer won’t take in any CD’s. I despritaly need a Virus Removal program that doesn’t take any registrations, or money to do so! We have already tried McAfee and it doesn’t work. How Do I Safely Remove A Virus From My Pc?
I have read questions regarding virus removal but I am posting my issue so I can give details and get the correct help. I had McAfee installed when this happened. My computer started getting strange error messages at start up such as Error loading c:\windows\system32\calc.dll the specified module could not be found. Also when I Google something then click on a link I get redirected to some other page that has nothing to do with what I clicked. Now when I shut the computer off and turn it back on everything on my desktop is gone except for the tray at the bottom which keeps showing a bubble telling me to open the security center and when I click that icon in the tray it proceeds to scan the pc, tells me I have 40 known threats and gives me the option to remove them or proceed unprotected when I click remove it shows me a screen where I have to pay. When I use my mcafee to scan the system it says there are no known threats. I also have been receiving popups for what claims to be a “make money with google” site and my popup blocker is on and I haven’t received a popup in years. Does any one have any idea what is going on and what I can do. Also I don’t hav the Windows XP disc because my pc had it already installed when I purchased it.

You know the virus program that “attacks” your computer “pretending” to be a virus removal program? It will say you have like 113 trojans, 50 spyware and a bunch of other stuff, then want you to pay $80 bucks to install it?
This is on my friends computer and it pops up periodically through out the day and will stop the page she was trying to go to from opening. This software is on her desktop and when you try to delete it, it says to go to add/remove programs and when you try to do that and delete it from there, it says it can’t because windows doesn’t recognize what it is?? Please Help, I’m at a total loss here!
