How Do I Get Rid Of The Flashing Virus Alert Icon From My Norton Security Software?

Posted by admin 4 July, 2009

My virus protection expired last year and so I got a free one online but Norton keeps alerting me about viruses. I disabled everything I think would stop this but no success. Please help—the flashing icon is really annoying!

You need to ” uninstall ” the Norton Anti-virus completely. It is so aggressive, it almost takes over your PC. Go to your start menu, go to Control panel. In there, click on ” Add or remove programs “. It will try to get you to change your mind, but go ahead. Nothing will happen. When the uninstalling is done, go to Grisoft.com, and download AVG Free Edition 7.5 anti virus software. It is really good, free, and user friendly. You will find that your PC will work much better.P.S. After clicking add or remove programs, when the list of programs gets fully populated, high lite Norton Security, then click remove on the right side of that section.
